15 Years in the Making: A Web Development Journey

For over 15 years, I had the privilege of managing and evolving the online presence of Frabels, a cherished company that served its customers with dedication and excellence until its closure.
The journey began with the creation of the company’s website, a task that required meticulous planning and implementation to establish a solid foundation for its digital presence.

Frabels.com was a leading supplier of rhinestones, beads, trimmings, transfers, sequin products, findings and more, to manufacturers in the garment and fashion accessory fields throughout North America for more than 70 years.
Over the years, my responsibilities expanded to include:
Writing Code Snippets: Developing custom code to enable seamless connections between the brick-and-mortar store and the webstore, ensuring unified operations.
Database Management: Creating, organizing, and maintaining a robust database (30K products) to support the company’s operations and customer needs.
Daily Maintenance: Ensuring the website ran smoothly, implementing updates, and troubleshooting any issues promptly.
Marketing Materials: Designing eye-catching banners and other marketing content to promote products and special events effectively.
Newsletters: Designing and managing regular newsletters to keep customers informed, engaged, and connected.
Product Image Editing: Enhancing and preparing product images to align with the brand’s standards and appeal to customers.
Supervising Redevelopment: Leading the redevelopment project to modernize the website, ensuring it stayed competitive and aligned with the latest trends and technologies.
Migration to a New Platform: Overseeing the final migration of the website to a new platform, ensuring a seamless transition that honored company’s legacy.
While it was bittersweet to see the journey conclude with the company’s closure, I am grateful to have been part of Frabels’ story and to have contributed to its success over the years.
